Two Operator And Mat Continuous Monitor

Two Operator And Mat Continuous Monitor

The SURPA-9203D is a sophisticated, real-time diagnostic instrument designed to monitor the grounding integrity of two operators and one ESD workstation mat simultaneously. In high-stakes electronics manufacturing, daily manual testing is no longer enough. The 9203D provides instantaneous feedback, ensuring that your personnel and surfaces are grounded every second they are handling sensitive components.

Product Introduction

Products Description

Two Operator and Mat Continuous Monitor is designed to monitor resistance of both the work surface and the operator. It comes with a built in audible alarm and LED, triggering either when either the operator or work surface falls out of spec, becomes disconnected, or ground is lost. It is a fixed resistor system and is go/no go. A full time monitoring system is necessary to reduce latency on the assembly line.

Products Details

Dual-Station Monitoring: Support for two independent operators (Left & Right) from a single compact unit. Ideal for side-by-side assembly or shared workstations.

Ground Monitor Tester

Comprehensive Mat Surveillance: Dedicated "BENCH SYSTEM GROUND" channel ensures your ESD table mat is effectively bleeding off charges to the earth ground.

ESD protection for electronics manufacturing

Advanced Micro-Circuitry: High-precision electronic components provide rapid response times (< 0.1s) and exceptional resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMI).

Latent defect prevention in PCB assembly

Fail-Safe Alarm System: Utilizing both color-coded LEDs and a high-decibel piezo buzzer, it provides immediate notification if a ground path is compromised.

Solution Advantages

1. Eliminate Latent Defects

Latent defects occur when a component is damaged by static but passes initial QC. By providing continuous monitoring, the 9203D catches ground failures (like a loose wrist strap) the moment they happen, preventing damaged goods from leaving your facility.

2. Space & Cost Efficiency

Traditional setups require two separate monitors for two staff members. The SURPA-9203D consolidates this into one unit, reducing hardware costs by 50% and cleaning up cable clutter at the workstation.

3. Audit-Ready Documentation

Continuous monitoring is the "gold standard" for ESD audits. Implementing the 9203D proves to your customers and auditors that your facility maintains the highest level of static control discipline.

aPPLICATIONS

High-Volume SMT Lines: Real-time protection during manual soldering and component placement.

Semiconductor Assembly: Ensuring consistent grounding in cleanroom environments.

Aerospace & Defense: Where "zero-failure" reliability is mandated by strict contract requirements.

Shared Research Labs: Providing a flexible grounding solution for multiple technicians at a single bench.

Application

Indicator Logic Table

LED Status Audible Alarm Meaning
🟢 Green (Solid) Silent SAFE. All systems are grounded correctly.
🔴 Red (Flashing) Beep / Buzzer FAULT. Ground path is broken or resistance is too high.
No Light No Sound POWER OFF. Check AC adapter connection.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Can I use this with different brands of wrist straps?

A: Yes. The unit features standard 3.5mm mono jacks, making it compatible with almost all professional-grade single-wire wrist straps.

Q: What triggers the "BENCH SYSTEM GROUND" alarm?

A: The alarm triggers if the resistance between the monitor and the earth ground (via the mat) exceeds safety limits. This is usually caused by a loose grounding snap or a contaminated mat surface.

Q: Is it safe for the operators if there is a power surge?

A: Absolutely. The unit is engineered with high-resistance safety barriers to ensure that no harmful current can reach the operator through the wrist strap.
